The heavy snowfall in Pine Pass means there are plenty of snowmobiling opportunities in Chetwynd. The Mount Bickford area is one of the most popular locations for snowmobiling nearby. The Visitor Centre in Chetwynd can provide information and maps for different areas you can access.

If you’ve brought your snowmobile along, Chetwynd has some great outdoor areas you can access. The area around Mount Bickford has trails that you can enjoy whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned snowmobiler. Drive west from Chetwynd on Highway 97 and turn north on South Moberly Lake Road to access the trails.

The scenery near Mount Bickford is fantastic. Remember to dress warm and wear a helmet, and to watch for wildlife. For safety, you should travel with a group and remember to bring emergency equipment, including an avalanche probe. You can get directions and maps at the Chetwynd Visitor Centre. The Pine Valley Trail Blazers Snowmobiling Club can also provide maps to many of the local trails.
