Toys for Tots brings Christmas in July
Jul 26, 2012
This Saturday, July 28, Harley Claus will make his rounds from Grande Prairie to Grande Cache and back for a “fund” ride. The Grande Prairie Toys for Tots Association has started monthly rides, as opposed to one annual event to raise funds for various Peace Region charities. This will be their thrid ride this year.
All funds raised will benefit the Salvation Army Christmas Campaign, helping to ensure that the local organization has all they need this Christmas for families in need.
The run will be fueled with tons of great events starting with a biker breakfast at the Stanford Hotel for bacon and registration, followed by a scenic ride to Grande Cache and back. Upon return, these toy-toting riders will enjoy the association’s first annual bikini bike wash and a BBQ poker bash at Sharks.
The celebratory return will also mark the last night Shark’s Club is open until their renovations are complete, even more reason to take a ride for a good cause.
From Honda to Harley all bikes are welcome to take the ride for a good cause. If you are lacking in the motorcycle department you can still participate in the BBQ poker bash; twenty dollars will serve you up a steak dinner and a hand of poker at the Shark’s Club.
