Bringing 1969 to 2014
Nov 24, 2014
In 1969, humans walked the moon, the U.S. began pulling out of Vietnam, and a muddy field in Woodstock, New York was the site of the most important music festival in history. This was also the year John Fogerty wrote the soundtrack for an entire generation. It was a great year.
Forty-five years ago, Creedance Clearwater Revival put out three albums. Six out of eight singles from those albums charted in the top 40 and four of them peaked in the top five. Now, at age 69, John Fogerty is once again on tour and is reminding us all of what made 1969 the year it was.
On November 25th, the Encana Events Centre in Dawson Creek, BC, welcomes the iconic Singer/Songwriter to the stage where he will perform some of his biggest hits. Down on the Corner, Proud Mary, and Bad Moon Rising come to mind. Don't worry, though, he's bringing a whole career's worth of great songs with him. Lookin' Out My Back Door, Run Through the Jungle, and Have You Ever Seen the Rain? are distinct possibilities.
For more information, see the event listing. Tickets are $79, $54, and $24.50 plus fees, and are available at the Encana Events Center and Tiger Printing and Stationers, by phone at 1-877-339-8499, or online at tigerboxofficeplus.ca. Come out to Dawson Creek on November 25th for a night to remember.
