Pressed for a Good Run at Muskoseepi Park?
May 22, 2012
Lace up your running shoes and get ready to break a sweat for a good cause at the annual Daily Herald Tribune Run/Walk in Grande Prairie this Saturday. Hundreds of participants turn out each year for this fundraising workout. Choose from a 10K or 21K event for older runners, or a 3K event for the kids.
The deadline to enter the race is this Thursday.
If you are someone who does not deem themselves as a “runner”, participants can register to walk the course. Either way, the DHT Run/Walk is a great event to check out whether you are in the course or on the sidelines.
Research for this event left the We Go North team in stitches after reading the race FAQS – to summarize, it is frowned upon to cool off in the reservoir or fish pond, and if you are changing from a 10K to the 21K or vice versa, you had better be equipped with coffees for the organizers.
Rain or shine, this event looks like a fun way to spend a day in the splendor of Muskoseepi Park!
