Stage North’s Madcap Holiday Romp

Dec 12, 2013

Stage North, Every Christmas Story Ever Told, Christmas Theatre ProductionIt’s one thing to watch all the Christmas stories that play over the holidays, but how about watching every Christmas story at once? Stage North is inviting you to do just that with their latest production of “Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and Then Some)!” Three of Stage North’s veteran comics will bring dozens of Christmas tales to the stage for a light-hearted look at the classic stories that make Christmas a magical time.

The show definitely has a different slant compared to traditional Christmas productions, but this off-beat humour is what makes it so entertaining. The show relies largely on impersonations - you can’t help but do “It’s A Wonderful Life” without impersonating Jimmy Stewart - and it’s absolutely hilarious to watch as the actors reinvent these classic scenes.

Of course you will also find all the classic quotes from your favourite Christmas stories you know and love including reference to a particular BB gun with a compass in the stock. The play has been described as making all Christmas myths seem both utterly ridiculous and absolutely essential at the same time.

Don’t miss this madcap romp through the holiday season!
