Ken Lavinge Takes Enchanting Journey to Fort St. John
Nov 21, 2013
Ken Lavigne, the versatile classical tenor with modern style, is bringing his Road to Carnegie Hall tour to the North Peace Cultural Centre on Nov 26. Joined onstage by his current four piece band, Mr. Lavigne will retell his personal campaign to sing at Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops through spectacular songs and entertaining stories. This is a tale of a man who, against all odds, found a way to live out his dream of singing on the world’s most prestigious concert stage. The Road to Carnegie Hall embodies the spirit of the underdog – audacity, tenacity, tragedy and ultimately… triumph.
Ken Lavigne concerts, which he designs himself, are highly-produced evenings of entertainment that include a wide range of music combined with personal stories and background information on the music performed. Mr. Lavigne’s warmth and charm, along with his comedic flair, have become his trademarks. The concerts are backed by a small ensemble of Canadian musicians and often include other Canadian vocal and instrumental soloists.
We are sure that the man whose voice has been described as “liquid gold” will capture the hearts of those attending and take the audience at the North Peace Cultural Centre on a riveting and enchanting journey.
