Cape Breton Girl Natalie MacMaster in the House

Apr 9, 2013

Natalie MacMaster Lloydminster Hold on to your feet! Juno and Grammy-award winner Natalie MacMaster is coming to Lloydminster along with her trusty fiddle on Saturday, April 13 for a night of fiddling music and dance fun.

MacMaster is a master fiddler, entertaining the audience with her signature Cape Breton sound while incorporating her own unique vision of Celtic music. She will win you over with her fiddling expertise, having played the instrument faithfully since she was nine years old. She grew up in Nova Scotia among a family of fiddlers who loved the French- and Scottish-influenced music of Cape Breton Island.

MacMaster has collaborated with a number of recording artists, including the Chieftains, Alison Krauss and Yo-Yo Ma, for which she won a Grammy. Her last album, Cape Breton Girl, was released in 2011. Her live shows are fan favorites, as she adds ively step dancing into the concert.
