A Wonderful Weekend to Enjoy Winter

Feb 20, 2013

Frost Moon Grande Prairie Tomorrow, February 21, the inaugural Frost Moon Winter Celebration will kick off at the Montrose Cultural Centre grounds in Grande Prairie. Open to all Peace Country residents, Frost Moon was created as a much-needed winter event to get families out having fun.

Hosted by the Community Foundation of Greater Grande Prairie and Mayor Bill Given, the celebration is primarily made up of no-cost events targeted at all ages. Every evening there will be frosty outdoor activities like snow sculptures and skating paired with winter warm-ups like bonfires and hot chocolate.

Friday night, February 22, residents are welcome to come warm up in the Montrose Cultural Centre for the Frost Moon Music Night with a bevy of local entertainers as well as some food fare available for purchase.
Over here at We Go North, we are most looking forward to the glow-in-the-dark volleyball competition that will be held on Saturday, February 23, at dusk on the Montrose field.

Spend the day at Frost Moon or go all four days; either way, Frost Moon is set on bringing our community together and losing those winter blues to have some serious fun.
