Running to See Jully Black

Jully Black Peace River She has opened for Kayne West and was chosen to perform for the Queen of England, and now the folks of Peace River will welcome the multiple-award winner Jully Black to Athabasca Hall on February 9.

Dubbed by fans as ‘Canada’s Queen of R & B’, Jully is embarking on a tour to all corners of Canada, including small towns and venues. A writer and storyteller as well as performer, Black sees the importance in connecting with fans from all regions.

With three albums under her belt, Jully is well known in the music industry, even headlining the opening at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics ceremonies. Most recognized for her sassy yet soulful single ‘Seven Day Fool’, audiences can expect to hear a wide variety of songs from Black’s repertoire, including a few from her yet to be released album ‘(8)IGHT’.

As far as noted Canadian musicians go, Jully is definitely at the top of the list. Tickets for the show are still available and selling quickly.
