A Gala to Better Ghana
Jan 31, 2013
This Saturday, February 2, the students of the North Peace Secondary School are inviting residents of the Peace Country to be a part of change. Six years in the making, the Visions of Change Gala helps in sending students to build classrooms and other necessities for the Royal Seed Home Orphanage in Ghana, Africa.
What started as an assignment to do something selfless while making a change has turned into a project that has made a huge impact on the lives of children that are less fortunate.
A life-changing experience for both the students and children of the orphanage, these young people are learning selflessness; their time in Ghana is far from a typical vacation. Students sleep, eat, and bathe in the same quarters as the children.
Since the beginning of Visions of Change, over 240 students from North Peace have contributed to improving conditions for children in both Central America and Africa.
Being held at the Pomeroy Hotel, this is the event that will not only be an exciting night out but one to also inspire change in the lives of thousands. Come out for a great evening of food, live music and entertainment while supporting a fantastic cause!
