Tonight, Monday, January 14th, will be the last night of the two-day Banff Film Festival Tour at the Douglas J. Cardinal Performing Arts Centre, hosted by Vahalla Pure Outfitters.
These films are full-tilt for adrenaline junkies and featuring extreme sports in remote locations that not only capture the beauty of the sport but also the location they are filmed in.
This will be the 12th year for the film festival and it is usually a sell-out. Audiences can expect to see 6 films per evening; generally the films chosen have a broad interest level so they appeal to everyone attending.
One film that people can expect to see is On the Trail of Genghis Khan: The Last Frontier. The film tells the story of a man's three-year journey on horseback from Mongolia to Hungary, a distance of about 10,000 km. It's this year's People's Choice Award.
These films are more than entertaining they are awe-inspiring and a must-see.
