Our Interview with Santa Claus
Dec 21, 2012
Right now it’s a busy time for everyone, but for one rotund and bearded gentleman and his team of elves, December is a particularly hectic time of year. The We Go North team was honored to be able to interview the big man in charge before the big holiday:
So Santa, tell us; about how long does it take to get to the Peace Region?
Well typically I travel east to west, but to come directly to the Peace Area it would be 5,135 kilometers from my workshop in the North Pole. Ho, ho, ho good thing I have my sleigh because I can travel that in just under 5 seconds.
Tell us about all the boys and girls that live up here in the north?
Oh, the boys and girls in the Peace Country are very kindhearted and well behaved, definitely on the nice list. They usually ask for my elves to make them all sorts of adventurous toys to play outside with.
What is your favorite snack for you and your reindeer?
When it comes to snacks I'm not picky, but up here you folks have Saskatoon berries. They are so delicious in tarts, even the reindeer love them.
What is your wish for the New Year?
That everyday everyone tries to do something to put a smile on someone’s face or just brighten their day!
