Come Hear The Huron Carole

Dec 10, 2012

Huron Carole Grande Prairie One of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself or another is tickets to see a live performance; however, when you go see The Huron Carole you are essentially helping the entire nation. A project by Tom Jackson, that began in 1987, uses star power to raise awareness and funds for Canada’s hungry.

In 2004, the popular fundraiser was divided into two smaller fundraisers and geared towards smaller communities. With a drop in food bank support over the years, Jackson recognized the need to bring back the coast-to-coast concert series.

The Huron Carole will feature artists like Sara Slean, Matt Dusk, Susan Aglukark, and of course Tom Jackson. With an eclectic blend of Canadian musicians, this show will please the most discerning musical palette.

Jackson believes the holiday season is the perfect time to deliver the message of compassion and empathy to the forefront of Canadian minds, all while enjoying quality entertainment.

The Huron Carole is set to take the stage tomorrow night, December 11, at the Douglas J. Cardinal Performing Arts Centre.
