Out of the Mason Jar
Nov 20, 2012
Over the past year, the Home Routes concert series has given performers an opportunity to play venues in a cross-country Canadian circuit. Local bookstore, the Rabbit Hole, has been hosting the intimate concert series and the multiple shows have allowed residents to gain a wider appreciation for Canadian music and talent.
Every circuit tour strives to create a balance of styles, and can include anything from blues, to bluegrass, to country, to various world musicians. This Thursday, November 19, Brent Mason will be performing in part with the concert series.
Brent, who is better known as the godfather of the Saint John music scene, uses the stage to weave lyrics and stories together. Brent has come a long way from his fresh-squeezed orange juice stand in New Brunswick to now having just released his 8th album.
A pioneer for maritime talent, he shares his jovial personality and love for folk music with every audience he meets.
Brent’s newest single is called “Gretzky & Me"; his music, songs, and style embodies true Canadian spirit. Treat yourself to something different and go see Brent Mason!
