Saturday, March 18 & Friday March 24 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. start times at the Museum

Meet historical characters from Fort St. John’s past who are connected with the Alaska Highway from surveyors to early tourists and those who lived in the North Peace during the construction. Learn about the highway’s impact on First Nations from Gerry Attachie. Get to know Duncan Cran (surveyor), Ma Murray (editor of the Alaska Highway News), Rudy Schubert (photographer with the 341st Engineers), Zylpha Busche (later Alexander – laundress on the highway), Constable Lawrence Clay (B.C. Police Officer), Sister Philomena Mary from Providence Hospital, Lena Kostiuck (later Galen – parka maker extraordinaire) and Iris Woolcock (travelled highway 1947-48) as you interact with them in the museum. Interaction is key – our characters will have questions for you so play along to have more fun!

Adults - $12 • Seniors (65+) - $8 • Students - $5 • Under 5 - Free

Tours run every ten minutes from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and last 40 minutes. Please call the museum at 250-787-0430 or drop by to register your time slot beginning in March. REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY AND LIMITED. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your tour start time. Payment can be made in advance or at the door.
