The Museum's collection reflects the history of the progress within the Town of Peace River and surrounding area. There are three unique galleries which relate to both the human and natural heritage of the Peace River Country.

Description

The museum has three galleries of exhibited artifacts depicting the diversity of the human and natural heritage of the Peace River Country. The Mackenzie Gallery features well-known voyageur Sir Alexander Mackenzie, with original artifacts from Fort Fork [1792] and a fur press [1880]. The Peace River Gallery has a diverse collection of textiles and tools of the early residents from 1900-1950, as well as rocks and fossils. In the Main Gallery, there are rotating displays from our collection and from travelling exhibits.

Hours of Operation: Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm (open Sundays July and August)
Admission: $2 per person (children 2 and under are free)
